Michael Dean Roe
December 12, 1971 - December 30, 2016
ROE, Mike, age 45 years, passed unexpectedly on December 30, 2016 but his passion to make people laugh and his story-telling will not be forgotten. Son, Father, Husband and life of the party, Mike "1i" Roe was many things to many people. Justin Douglas Horton June 29, 1978 - December 5, 2016 HORTON, Justin Douglas, age 38 years, passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 5, 2016. He was born on June 29, 1978 to Douglas and Pamela (Podoba) Horton. On October 20, 2007 he married the former Mistina Allen. Justin worked at GlasTender for the past 19 years. He loved to ride ATVs, play with his RC cars and loved to tease.
Born on December 12, 1971 in Saginaw, MI. He was the oldest son of Wilbur and Marie Roe. Well known as "1i" by his family and friends, he was a lumberjack and most recently employed by Earthcom enjoying bossing his little brother, Tony around.
His heart and soul resided with Havoc Racing and many of days you could find him in the team garage getting the sleds ready for race season or at the Saints Club reminiscing about good friends, good drinks and good times. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing along the way. There was never a doubt that a laugh would be had wherever Mike was and when amongst that circle of friends/family always stand 'upwind.'
Survived by wife Kelly (Davidson) Roe, parents Wilbur and Marie Roe, Children Josh and Emily, brother Tony Roe (Sam Green) nieces, nephews whom he often lovingly referred to as a biker gang and many friends that will be quick to tell you that Mike was their best friend, never have you seen a man with so many best friends, and I believe that this shows the kind of man he truly was, he was the most honest, caring man that you could have ever known, he was always quick to help a friend in need, he would have given you the shirt off if his back if you needed it and the last 2 dollars in his pocket. Mike tried so hard to not come off as weak but anyone who knew him for any length of time knew that this wasn't true and that Mike loved as hard as he laughed and the fact that that love and laughter have been cut short so soon will forever leave this world a darker, sadder place and it will also leave a dark void in the hearts and souls of everyone Mike ever touched.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bessie and Virgil Roe and his aunt, Wanda Helfrecht. A sharing of memories will take place on Wednesday, January 4, 2016 at 6 PM at C.M. Humpula Funeral Home; 209 Entrepreneur Dr. St. Charles. Visitation will take place Wednesday from 12-6 PM.
Fly high #84, until we all meet again...
In addition to his parents, Pam and Doug and his wife, Mistina, Justin is survived by his step-children, Jacob Allen, Lindsey Campbell and Teddy Campbell; sister, Marci (Jason) Fuller; nephews, Brody and Brady Fuller; grandmother, Jeanice Horton and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at C.M. Humpula Funeral Home, 209 Entrepreneur Dr., St. Charles. Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 8 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
